Google launched Gemini 4 Carbon on October 28, 2026, an AI model focused on discovering software flaws, validating their exploitation and patching vulnerabilities. Its rollout will begin with trusted cybersecurity teams through the Fairwind Program before expanding gradually to developers, businesses and, eventually, consumers. Carbon scored 59 on the Artificial Analysis Intelligence Index 5.0, 88.2% on SEC-bench for vulnerability discovery, 54.8% on ExploitGym for exploitation and 71% on CWE-bench for patching. Pricing remains at $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens, while its arrival two weeks after Gemini 4 Argon reflects the use of AI-assisted model development. Alphabet shares rose approximately 1.5% following the announcement.
