California Governor Gavin Newsom and his wife Jennifer Siebel Newsom reported annual income between $1.7 million and $2 million from 2022 through 2024, according to their released tax returns. The couple paid roughly $500,000 per year in federal and state taxes. A notable exception was 2021, when they sold a house in Marin County for nearly $6 million, generating approximately $800,000 in gains and bringing their total income to $4.2 million that year. The disclosures come as the U.S. Justice Department launched investigations into the Newsoms last month. Most of their income comes from the PlumpJack Group, a winery and restaurant business empire placed in a blind trust when Newsom took office.
