Mike Novogratz, CEO of Galaxy Digital, said he is buying more of the company’s shares after the stock fell approximately 8% at the close amid a broad sell-off in crypto-linked and financial markets. He believes the share price undervalues Galaxy’s long-term potential, citing onchain finance and growing demand for artificial intelligence as key drivers. The first phase of the company’s Helios project in Texas was completed on schedule, with 800 megawatts leased under long-term contracts. Meanwhile, Bitcoin fell 5.2% to $75,800 and Ether dropped 7% to $2,250, while Coinbase and Strategy each lost 9% and several Bitcoin miners declined by more than 13%.
