Franklin Templeton has partnered with China Asset Management (ChinaAMC) to launch two cross-border exchange-traded funds on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on September 29, 2026. These are Franklin Templeton’s first ETF listings in Asia: the ChinaAMC Franklin HK-US Equity Cash Flow Focus ETF (60% Hong Kong equities, 40% US equities, focused on strong cash flow companies) and the ChinaAMC Franklin FTSE Innovative Drugs ETF (65% Hong Kong names, 35% developed markets, targeting pharmaceutical innovation). ChinaAMC managed over $465 billion in assets as of late 2025, giving Franklin Templeton established infrastructure and deep knowledge of mainland China markets. Both funds will trade in Hong Kong dollars, US dollars and renminbi. Franklin Templeton frames this as the first step in a broader strategy to collaborate with local managers on mainland China investment themes.
