For Gen Z, Savings Erode as Online Gambling Surges

According to a Bank of America study, approximately 5 % of the bank’s clients participated in online gambling in July, a figure up 40 % since January. Gen Z and Millennials account for 88 % of online gambling activity, with Gen Z alone representing 48 %. The recovery ratio remains below 1: gamblers recover less than 75 cents per dollar wagered on average. The median account balance of households that gamble online represents only 59 % of those that do not gamble. Bank of America recommends a 4 % Bitcoin allocation for its wealthy clients.
