An Amazon cargo jet overshot the runway at Miami International Airport and struck vehicles, killing at least five people on Sunday. The aircraft, a Boeing 767 operated by 21 Air, was arriving from San Juan, Puerto Rico. Federal investigators are examining whether the plane touched down beyond the normal landing zone, which would have made it impossible to stop safely. Miami airport lacks emergency arresting systems that have been installed at more than 120 U.S. airports. Five people were killed and five others were hospitalized, including three in critical condition.
