FaZe Clan is one win away from the BLAST Premier finals in Malta after sweeping EYEBALLERS 2-0 in the Round of 16. The tournament features a $1.15 million prize pool spread across 32 teams. Malta has emerged as a dual hub for esports and digital assets, largely due to its Virtual Financial Assets Act passed in 2018, earning it the nickname ‘Blockchain Island’. The organization, whose Counter-Strike 2 roster sits at #16 in the HLTV world rankings, has faced financial difficulties following a SPAC merger and subsequent stock crash. FaZe Clan has nonetheless demonstrated its competitive pedigree, winning the ESL Pro League Season 17 grand final against Cloud9 for $200,000 out of an $850,000 pool.
