Amazon has raised prices on several of its devices, including Echo speakers, Fire TV, Kindle and eero products, with the Echo Dot rising from $49.99 to $79.99 and the 16GB Kindle Paperwhite going from $159.99 to $199.99. The Fire TV Stick 4K Max increased from $59.99 to $84.99. The company cited significant increases in memory and storage component costs as the reason for the adjustments. This move comes as Apple, Microsoft and other manufacturers have also raised device prices due to memory chip shortages driven by AI compute demand. Amazon Web Services reported $42.2 billion in revenue in the second quarter, up 37% year-over-year.
