Ethereum withdrawals from BitMart have surged to their highest level in a year as users rush to pull their funds before the platform’s complete shutdown. The exchange had briefly frozen withdrawals before reopening them recently, triggering an immediate exodus. BitMart announced on July 26 the gradual end of its operations, with full trading services set to stop on August 26 and final withdrawals closing in January 2027. The platform’s native token, BitMart Token (BMX), tumbled following the announcement. Ethereum (ETH) remains stable around $1,881, suggesting the impact is contained to BitMart and does not reflect a systemic market crisis.
