Glamsterdam, the next Ethereum upgrade, was activated on Sepolia on October 6 and is now set to be deployed on the Hoodi testnet on October 26 at 17:42 UTC. The gas limit will increase to 200 million per block on Hoodi, raising the resource budget available for operations. This update includes ePBS, which separates the actors who build blocks from those who propose them, along with block-level access lists enabling parallel processing. Node operators must update their software while developers need to test their contracts against the new gas pricing rules. At this stage, no mainnet deployment date has been set.
