Recent incidents highlight the dual-use nature of AI in crypto: a Zcash flaw was discovered by AI in May, while attackers drained roughly $130 million in Bitcoin from Coldcard wallets in July using a vulnerability AI likely helped identify. Buterin noted he has about 90% of his net worth in crypto, and Ethereum plans to pursue AI verification over the coming years.
