Emi Kusano End of Nostalgia: Her AI Art Museum Show in Japan

Share

Emi Kusano’s large-scale solo exhibition End of Nostalgia will run at the Hyper Museum Hanno contemporary art museum in Saitama from November 14, 2026, to January 31, 2027. It will feature about 25 Ornament Survival prints, including previously unseen works, alongside new installations under the concept of an “AI camera without a lens.” Kusano, born in Tokyo in 1990, uses AI to explore Japanese street subcultures and construct “possible pasts,” including a model trained on her own face and body. Ornament Survival was presented at Art Basel Hong Kong in 2026, and six ERC-721 works were released on Ethereum through Verse on June 3, 2026, but the museum has not stated whether the works in the exhibition will be for sale or accompanied by NFTs.
