The Cambridge, Massachusetts startup has reportedly raised $150 million in Series A funding at a $1.45 billion valuation, according to TechCrunch. Founded in 2025 by MIT professor Pulkit Agrawal and former DeepMind researcher Tuomas Haarnoja, Eka Robotics employs approximately 25 people. The company closed an $11 million seed round in May 2025 backed by Andreessen Horowitz and MFV Partners. Its core technology relies on a Vision-Force-Action foundation model that combines visual input and force perception to control a robotic arm trained through physics-based simulation rather than human imitation learning. This approach targets the unsolved challenge of robotic manipulation of fragile and varied objects, a key application area for food processing and logistics.
