In the special Jackson Hole edition of the CNBC Fed Survey among 31 respondents, 80% say Fed Chairman Kevin Warsh should provide more insight into his economic views ahead of his keynote speech on Friday. Warsh, who took office in January, has adopted a minimalist communication approach on rate outlook, with 45% of respondents expecting him to maintain this stance. Regarding policy rates, 53% anticipate hikes over the next 12 months, versus 30% expecting cuts and 16% forecasting no change. Additionally, 77% of economists believe Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent’s attempt to lower bond yields by purchasing long-dated securities will fail. The 10-year yield is projected to remain between 4.60% and 4.70% through the end of 2025.
