Diego Kochen, a 20-year-old goalkeeper born in Miami with Peruvian and Venezuelan roots, has earned his first senior call-up to the USMNT by Mauricio Pochettino. Currently on loan from FC Barcelona to Lyngby Boldklub in Denmark, he is part of a squad with an average age of just 22 years and 9 months, including 13 players with zero senior caps. Four friendly matches are scheduled between late September and early October: Peru, Chile, Mexico, and Canada. Kochen, eligible for four nations, chose the United States, and a first cap against Peru on September 26 in Orlando would permanently lock in that decision.
