Thierry, a French user of the D’CENT Wallet application, lost 303,000 XDC, worth approximately $10,000, on the night of October 8. He had been using the wallet since January 2021, although his last transaction dated back to 2023. He has since contacted the South Korean manufacturer, which says an investigation is underway, and joined a WhatsApp group for victims worldwide. An XRPL.to investigation also reported that 12.73 million XRP were stolen between September 15 and October 7, while an independent analysis identified 11.56 million XDC transferred from 4,681 addresses, although not all of these movements have been formally linked to D’CENT. The cause of the incident remains uncertain, and no general compensation program has been announced.
