A crypto-aligned PAC spent $11 million to oppose Senator Sherrod Brown in Ohio, according to a September 24 filing. In 2024, outside groups spent over $300 million in the Ohio Senate race, with the crypto-aligned PAC and affiliates spending approximately $41 million against Brown and in support of Moreno. Republican candidate Bernie Moreno won the election with 50.2% of the vote versus Brown’s 46.4%. The vacated seat was filled by Jon Husted, appointed to the Senate by Governor Mike DeWine after JD Vance became US vice president. Vivek Ramaswamy, running for Ohio governor, received support from Jeff Yass (cofounder of Susquehanna International Group) with a $20 million contribution to his PAC, as well as $6 million from Ross Stevens (NYDIG founder).
