Defense startup Covenant, founded by Israeli-American entrepreneur Michael Kaufman, unveiled a 105,000-square-foot missile factory in Dallas, Texas, while raising over $250 million from Andreessen Horowitz and Founders Fund. The company is developing the Anthem cruise missile with a target price in the mid-six-figure range per unit, having completed over 200 test flights since August 2025. The Dallas facility aims to produce 1,000 missiles in its first year with a goal of scaling to 5,000 units annually, with serial production slated to begin in Q1 2027. Covenant has already secured approximately $150 million in contracts with the US Department of Defense for testing and qualification of the Anthem, and now employs over 200 people across facilities in the US, Germany, and Northern Israel.
