Core Scientific is billing customers for nearly 440 megawatts of AI computing capacity, beating its own delivery timeline. The former Bitcoin miner emerged from bankruptcy in early 2024 and has accelerated its transformation into an AI infrastructure provider. The company acquired Polaris DS LLC for approximately $444 million, adding roughly 440 megawatts of grid-connected power capacity. Its planned expansion in Muskogee, Oklahoma targets approximately 1.5 gigawatts of gross power capacity, with projected future lease payments exceeding $6 billion. CoreWeave remains one of Core Scientific’s anchor tenants, while the company has also established a collaboration with AMD for potential capacity of up to 2.5 gigawatts.
