Commonwealth Fusion Systems, the world’s best-capitalized private fusion energy company, is considering a public listing within the next two to three years. The MIT spinoff has raised nearly $3 billion in private capital, including an $863 million Series B2 round closed in August 2025, and expects total financing to reach $4 billion in future rounds. CFS is developing two key projects: SPARC, a demonstration machine under construction in Massachusetts, and ARC, a planned 400 MW commercial power plant in Virginia targeting the early 2030s. Galaxy Digital’s Galaxy Interactive participated in the Series B2 round, highlighting growing interest from crypto and tech investors in fusion energy. CFS has also formed strategic partnerships with NVIDIA and Siemens to leverage AI-driven digital twin technology for reactor design.
