Indian cryptocurrency exchange CoinDCX denied a new security breach after analysts flagged suspicious transfers of about $16 million from addresses attributed to the platform. The company said the wallets involved were compromised in July 2025 and that it had stopped using them, but blockchain investigator ZachXBT claimed a deposit address remained active for 10 months with a liquidity provider. He said the address continued transferring user deposits to CoinDCX’s current public hot wallet and receiving funds to cover transaction fees. Two addresses included in CoinDCX’s latest proof of reserves also allegedly transferred funds to the flagged Tron address. Chief executive Sumit Gupta acknowledged that the company was investigating the matter and assured users that their funds would not suffer any losses.
