Coinbase Wallet plans to add artificial intelligence agent capabilities this year, according to Oxxbid, a Coinbase product manager focused on trading. The wallet will build on Agentic Wallets, launched on February 11, 2026, which allows agents to autonomously handle spending, token trading and yield generation. Users will be able to set spending limits and approve certain transactions, while the x402 protocol will support automated machine-to-machine payments. Coinbase Wallet could also use Coinbase for Agents, a tool that executes trading instructions given in plain language, and its recently added support for Polymarket prediction markets. However, Coinbase has not specified which features will be released or when.
