Coinbase handled $134.5 billion in trading volume in the third quarter of 2026, giving it a 10.7% share of the global cryptocurrency market. This share doubled from a year earlier, after reaching 10.3% in the previous quarter, and marked the fourth consecutive quarter of market-share growth. Trading volume matched the approximately $134 billion forecast by analysts, even as spot-market activity slowed. Coinbase is diversifying revenue through prediction markets, which generated more than $200 million in annualized revenue, stablecoin-related activity, subscriptions and staking. The company also holds more than 80 regulatory licenses and operates its “Everything Exchange,” a unified platform for spot trading, derivatives and on-chain tools.
