Coinbase files to bring single-stock perpetual futures to US market

Coinbase has filed with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) to offer single-stock perpetual futures to the US market. The company plans to initially offer these products tied to roughly 50 to 60 stocks, including Apple, Microsoft, Tesla and Nvidia. Coinbase had previously filed Form 1-N with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on September 1 to register as a national securities exchange for the purpose of offering security futures. The company already offers these single-stock perpetual futures to eligible traders outside the United States, having launched the product in March.
