CME Group launched Bitcoin Cash (BCH) and Uniswap’s UNI token futures on October 19, bringing its crypto futures lineup to 11 products. BCH open interest has returned to pre-announcement levels after nearly doubling to around $295 million, with most speculative positioning occurring at announcement rather than launch. Both new products are cash-settled against CME CF reference prices, available in standard contracts (BCA for 250 BCH, 10,000 UNI) and micro versions (MCH for 25 BCH, MUN for 1,000 UNI). CME’s average crypto futures and options activity in the first half of 2026 reached 279,800 contracts, representing $8.3 billion in notional value. For UNI, the key significance lies in pending ETF applications that require a six-month futures trading history, making October 19 the starting point for that clock.
