The Senate’s failed attempt to pass the CLARITY Act on September 15th triggered a major correction in the crypto market, with nearly $100 billion wiped from total market cap in a 3.34% single-day drop. Bitcoin broke below the $75,000 support level, causing over $500 million in long liquidations. Despite this regulatory setback, the tokenized equities market reached $2.95 billion in market cap, up 12% month-over-month and 262% year-to-date. Data from Binance Research shows tokenized equities on BSC grew 314% YTD to $4 billion with monthly trading volume surging 33x to $7.9 billion, demonstrating that institutional demand remains strong and is not entirely dependent on the CLARITY Act.
