Circle, the USDC stablecoin issuer, has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Tazapay, a Singapore-based cross-border payments platform, in an all-stock deal valued at $400 million. Tazapay already processes over $25 billion in annualized payment volume, with roughly 60% of those transactions using stablecoins. The platform works with more than 60 banking and fintech partners, operates local payout solutions across over 100 markets, and holds licenses in Singapore, Canada, and Australia. The transaction, subject to regulatory approval notably from Singapore’s Monetary Authority, is expected to close in 2027. Circle Ventures had previously participated in Tazapay’s Series B funding round in March 2026, alongside Ripple, Coinbase Ventures, and CMT Digital.
