Thai police arrested a 37-year-old Chinese man in Bangkok, wanted by Chinese authorities for alleged involvement in an international crime network and money laundering. The network allegedly processed over 500 million yuan ($75 million) through cryptocurrency and foreign currency exchanges for criminal groups across more than 133 accounts. The suspect also allegedly arranged visas for members of international crime groups linked to other money-laundering cases. Found in a luxury house in Bangkok, he had attempted to evade arrest by using forged documents and changing vehicle registration plates. With his Thai visa having expired over three years ago, he will face legal proceedings before being extradited to China.
