FC Shakhtar Donetsk will play their home Champions League matches at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea’s stadium, during the 2026/27 season. The Ukrainian club, displaced from their Donetsk stadium since May 2014 due to the conflict in eastern Ukraine, will contest at least four league-phase matches in west London. The agreement, finalized on August 14, 2026 and approved by UEFA as well as the Hammersmith and Fulham Council, is non-commercial in nature. Chelsea, who finished tenth in the Premier League and will not participate in any European competition, thereby maintains midweek activity at their approximately 40,000-seat venue.
