Charles Hoskinson’s Midnight network recorded a daily high of 49,229 transactions on October 25, compared with 20,445 for Zcash on the same day. This volume brought the mainnet’s cumulative transaction count to 954,434. Midnight focuses on programmable privacy through zero-knowledge technology, which allows information to be verified without revealing the underlying data. Its lasting adoption will depend on continued usage, application growth and demand for the NIGHT token, which funds DUST, the resource used to execute transactions and smart contracts.
