The Cardano Foundation has joined Mastercard’s Crypto Partner Program under its Blockchains track to collaborate on cross-border money movement, B2B transactions, and settlement. Cardano is now integrated into the x402 protocol via Masumi, enabling AI agents to transact on the Cardano network. Developers have achieved 250 TxkB/s performance with Leios on a local cluster, compared to 4.5 TxkB/s currently on mainnet, with deployment expected by the end of 2026.
