Morgan Stanley initiated coverage of EchoStar with an overweight rating and a $134 price target, implying nearly 44% upside. The bank says the market is applying too wide a discount to EchoStar relative to its intrinsic value, despite the company striking an approximately $17 billion deal in September 2025 to grant wireless spectrum licenses to SpaceX. Since SpaceX’s IPO on June 12, EchoStar shares have fallen nearly 17% over three months but remain up 27% over the past year. Six out of seven analysts on Wall Street recommend buying or strongly buying EchoStar stock.
