He ran a phishing operation from April 2023 to December 2024, impersonating Coinbase support staff to drain the wallets of approximately 100 victims. Losses totaled nearly $16 million, with individual victims losing over $1 million in some cases. After laundering the funds through crypto mixers, swapping services, and gambling platforms, he pleaded guilty to a 31-count indictment including grand larceny and money laundering. Only $505,000 of the nearly $16 million stolen has been recovered, and the court ordered nearly $16 million in restitution to his victims.
