Bloxtel, a San Francisco-based startup founded in 2022, announced it is deploying its private 5G infrastructure on Avalanche alongside the launch of its AP 201 device, an all-in-one 5G access point supporting US band 48 and international band 78. The company has developed patented dSIM technology using asymmetric PKI-based authentication to replace traditional SIM cards, combined with its Open6GC core network platform featuring AI-driven automation. Bloxtel projects substantial performance improvements: a 70% reduction in security threats, 80% decrease in latency, 90% drop in costs, and a tenfold increase in network capacity. The AP 201 is manufactured through partnership with Askey Computer Corp., an ASUS subsidiary, and is slated for availability in Q4 2026 with a basic plan advertised at $499 per month.
