Bitget CEO sees Bitcoin near current levels at year-end, doubts US will buy BTC

Bitget CEO Gracy Chen forecasts that Bitcoin should trade close to current levels by year-end, with a possible variation of $10,000 to $20,000 above or below the current price. Chen is skeptical about the US government purchasing Bitcoin for its national reserve before the end of President Donald Trump’s term, calling such a move unlikely in the next two years. The Trump administration established a Strategic Bitcoin Reserve in March 2025 using BTC already forfeited to the federal government. The US government currently holds approximately 328,372 BTC, accumulated mainly through law enforcement seizures and asset forfeitures rather than direct purchases.
