Joao Wedson, founder of Alphractal, analyzed the link between Bitcoin’s price and the US political calendar. According to his study, BTC enters a bear market about one year before US midterm elections, before rebounding after the vote. A Binance Research report confirms this trend: Bitcoin dropped an average of 56% during midterm cycles since 2014, then rebounded with an average gain of 54% in the year following the elections. Currently, BTC is trading around $64,000, nearly 50% below its all-time high of over $126,000. It recently gained 8% over the past month, despite the Fed keeping interest rates unchanged at 3.50% to 3.75%.
