Strategy announced on October 5 the purchase of 334 bitcoins for approximately 28.7 million dollars at an average price of 85,839 dollars per unit, bringing its total reserve to 848,000 BTC, representing 4.04% of the maximum supply of 21 million units. The cumulative acquisition cost stands at approximately 63.97 billion dollars, for a market valuation of around 72.93 billion dollars at the current price of 86,000 dollars. The price paid exceeds Strategy’s historical average cost of approximately 75,441 dollars per bitcoin by about 14%. This acquisition, nearly 190 times smaller than the record purchases of November 2024, does not alone allow conclusions to be drawn about a slowdown in the group’s financing mechanism under Michael Saylor.
