Bitcoin Price Prediction: BTC Risks $80,000 After Trump Rejects Iran Ceasefire Offer

Share

Bitcoin fell to roughly $83,000, down 1.6% over the past 24 hours, after President Trump rejected Iran’s seven-day ceasefire proposal. Tehran offered to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, lift sanctions, and unfreeze $12 billion in assets in exchange for a broader ceasefire covering Lebanon. The Strait of Hormuz, through which approximately 20% of global oil production transits, remains a major geopolitical concern for energy markets. Bitcoin nonetheless holds at +1.9% on the week, with crucial support between $80,000 and $82,000 that has held since breaking out of its previous range. Spot ETFs attracted $2.2 billion in four sessions last week, showing persistent institutional interest despite geopolitical tensions.
