Bitcoin (BTC) gave back its early gains at the Wall Street open as markets waited for the Federal Reserve’s interest-rate decision. BTC/USD failed to break above $81,700 and fell as low as $80,297 on Bitstamp, leaving the pair down 0.3% at the time of writing. Markets overwhelmingly expected the central bank to keep rates in their 3.75% to 4% range, with attention focused on comments from Fed chair Kevin Warsh. The 50-day simple moving average at $81,831 acted as resistance, while Glassnode reported that bids had concentrated between $78,000 and $79,000.
