Venture capitalist and billionaire Tim Draper paid tribute to Bitcoin creator Satoshi Nakamoto for his optimism in challenging the basic tenets of global finance. The remarks came after Draper ranked 76th on Forbes’ recently unveiled list of the 250 most optimistic people in America. He also cited Hotmail co-founders Sabeer Bhatia and Jack Smith, Skype founders Niklas Zennström and Janus Friis, and Elon Musk, who drove Tesla and SpaceX’s ambitions. Draper had acquired approximately $29,656 worth of BTC at a 2014 U.S. government auction of coins seized from the Silk Road marketplace.
