Bitcoin Crash? 90% of Buterin’s Net Worth Opposes AI

Vitalik Buterin, Ethereum co-founder, has rejected a forecast that artificial intelligence could cut Bitcoin price by more than half within two years. Liron Shapira, a Silicon Valley investor, stated he had 50% confidence that AI could undermine the expected security guarantees of the Bitcoin network. Buterin responded that roughly 90% of his net worth already places him on the opposite side of that view, expressing long-term optimism about cybersecurity. Bitcoin was trading just under $80,000, with a 50% decline equating to around $40,000. On the market side, wallets holding at least 100 BTC added approximately 60,000 BTC in August, while smaller wallets sold similar amounts.
