Bitcoin rebounded by 2% over the past 24 hours and briefly reclaimed the $81,000 level amid strong spot demand. More than $1 billion worth of BTC also left exchanges for self-custody wallets, fueling supply-shock expectations. The Federal Reserve’s October 28 FOMC meeting, at which interest rates are expected to remain unchanged, could trigger significant volatility, while an unknown investor opened a $72.1 million long position with 30x leverage. Other indicators warrant caution: whales have realized about $156 million in profits, their holdings fell by 8,162 BTC in 24 hours and the Coinbase Premium index dropped to -0.17. Major support is located at $81,000, with a risk of a decline toward $67,000 if it breaks, while moves above $84,500, $92,000 and $104,000 would be needed to confirm a bullish trend.
