Binance is preparing to reopen withdrawals in phases as early as today, less than 72 hours after the largest crypto theft ever recorded in dollar terms. The first phase covers 15 networks, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, BNB Smart Chain, Solana, XRP, Dogecoin, Polygon, Arbitrum, Base, Optimism and Sui, although temporary delays remain possible. According to the exchange, 95% of the affected assets have been replenished, up from 90% on Saturday, and Binance says it will absorb the financial damage from the cyberattack. The FBI formally attributed the theft of more than $6 billion to North Korean hackers linked to the “TraderTraitor” campaign and said the stolen funds are already being converted into Ethereum and laundered through decentralized finance platforms and instant-swap services. US President Donald Trump said he would speak with North Korea if the country’s responsibility was confirmed.
