Wallets linked to the suspected Binance hack received tens of thousands of ETH through Uniswap and borrowed 19,762 ETH on Aave against about $60 million in USDT, with no flaw identified in either application. About 253,000 ETH, worth roughly $570 million, was sitting in two wallets at 22:07 UTC, while the attacker’s campaign drained at least $5.5 billion from Binance. Tether and Circle blacklisted its addresses to freeze more than $2 billion in USDT and USDC, while Ripple froze about $200 million in RLUSD. Because Ethereum has no issuer able to halt transactions, funds converted into ETH remain beyond the reach of these freezes. Aave froze its Ethereum markets, Kamino paused its Solana and Bitcoin markets, and $52.54 million in RLUSD remained unfrozen in the holding wallet.
