Binance founder Changpeng Zhao (CZ) mocked Bitcoin bear Peter Schiff on social media X for his consistently wrong price predictions. Schiff has been criticizing Bitcoin since at least 2011 and repeatedly predicted the cryptocurrency’s collapse, comparing it to the Dutch tulip mania in 2013 when BTC was trading around $350. Bitcoin reached $100,000 in December 2024, once again contradicting Schiff’s forecast that the cryptocurrency would eventually fall to zero. During a debate with Bitcoin bull Anthony Pompliano in June 2026, Schiff admitted that Bitcoin would probably not go to zero, while maintaining his prediction of a 99%+ crash in market capitalization.
