Hong Kong broker Futu Securities has launched direct deposits and withdrawals of BNB through the BNB Smart Chain network, allowing qualified investors to transfer the token between their external wallets and Futu accounts. Access is limited to professional investors with at least HK$8 million, or approximately US$1 million, in capital, while withdrawals may take up to three business days. Binance founder Changpeng Zhao reacted to the integration, whose technical operations are handled by PantherTrade, a Futu subsidiary licensed by the Securities and Futures Commission. The development comes as Hong Kong digitizes its financial sector through stablecoin distribution to millions of users and the issuance of HK$20 billion in tokenized green bonds. The proposed legislation provides for no transition period and would require platforms without a virtual asset service provider licence to cease operations immediately.
