FC Barcelona officially denied on July 26 having any active negotiations with German midfielder Leon Goretzka, who became a free agent after his contract with Bayern Munich expired on June 30. Juventus has emerged as the frontrunner, presenting an offer of 7 million euros net annual salary plus a 10 million euro signing bonus. AC Milan and Atletico Madrid have also been linked with the 31-year-old midfielder. Barcelona’s midfield already features Pedri, Gavi, Frenkie de Jong, and Fermín López, making Goretzka not a priority target this summer.
