Banco Santander disclosed its first stake in BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust in a 13F filing submitted to the SEC. The Spanish bank holds 129,615 IBIT shares worth $4.31 million and 297,947 shares of the iShares Ethereum Trust worth $3.54 million. This combined exposure represents roughly 0.05% of the bank’s $16.08 billion in U.S. equity positions. The positions are held by SAM Investment Holdings, the Madrid-based holding company for Santander Asset Management, which reported these positions for the first time as of June 30.
