Aviva Investors, the asset management arm of UK insurer Aviva PLC, has launched a tokenized share class of its US Dollar Liquidity Fund on the XRP Ledger in partnership with Ripple, Komainu, and Licuido. The initiative covers a portfolio of approximately £253 billion, or $345 billion, and marks the firm’s first venture into asset tokenization. The underlying fund, an Ireland-domiciled UCITS money market fund, maintains its traditional operations while an on-chain ownership layer represents shares on the XRP Ledger. The project received approval from the Central Bank of Ireland and represents Ripple’s first major partnership with a European asset manager at this scale.
