Atkins says SEC crypto proposal aims to bring innovators back to US

The SEC proposal is designed to work alongside the CLARITY Act, which is scheduled for a Senate vote on September 15. Atkins emphasized that the previous administration’s policies drove innovators abroad, and he hopes the bill will pass and reach President Trump. He noted that the SEC can advance its proposal under existing laws even if Congress fails to act, though statutory backing is ultimately necessary to ensure long-term stability and sustainability of the rules.
